SoundScape

In The Maunga we have been making soundscapes. We had to pick a scene and find stuff to make the noise and my group chose to do the Amazon Rainforest. We had to make a monkey noise, a toad noise, a snake noise, a bird noise and rain noise. We have also been doing 

T - Shaped Literacy about musical instruments I learnt about a chinese instrument called and erhu. It is a wind instrument which means you have to blow in it and it is like a flute but makes sweat calming noises.

Pepeha And Greetings

In Te Maunga we have been doing a google slide called Pepeha and Greetings. We had to include our pepeha, our grandparents, our parents and English greetings and Maori greetings. We also learnt how to talk in Te Reo and we also learnt how to use Maori greetings.

I learnt to say Ka Kite Apopo which means see you tomorrow.

Collage Art

In Te Maunga we have been making collage art. We were making them based on the story Battle Of The Mountains. We had to make our collage on a piece of paper then we had to draw all the places where our colours and mountains were going to go. When we had shown the teacher we had to make the pieces very small so it looked good, if we made big pieces it wouldn’t turn out as good. When my collage was done I was shocked by how it turned out.

Kindness Letter

We made kindness letters to people who had no one to be with them in lockdown. So we decided to send letters to them to give them ideas on what to do.

Viruses

In Te Maunga we have been learning about viruses. We made a flow diagram to show how a virus starts and ends. I learnt about how the viruses get into your body and how your body kills it.

The Water Cycle

In Te Maunga we have been learning about the water cycle. We did an explanation then we did some art. We had to include the four steps of the water cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.
